DAAD Nairobi invites former scholarship holders to submit their applications for small alumni activities such as workshops, conferences or seminars that are scheduled for January – June 2020.
The objective of this funding programme is to support the thematic exchange and the networking and cooperation both among the alumni and with scientific, political, social, cultural, and economic institutions in the country and region. Further, it intends to help extending and actively contributing to the alumni's competences for meeting global challenges and promote the relationship of alumni with the DAAD and Germany.
In order to align alumni work in the East African region with the general concept and agenda of DAAD, preference will be given to alumni activities that
- Attract alumni who have graduated recently
- Address returning alumni with connecting and bridging activities
- Promote women
- Provide further training and education for scholars and professionals
- Strengthen regional collaboration between countries in the East African region
Please submit your application to firstname.lastname@example.org by 17th October 2019 latest. We encourage you to send applications earlier than that in order to ease the selection process. Applications after that can still be considered but are subject to the availability of funds, so it is advisable to apply early.
