The call for applications for DAAD In-Country/In-Region scholarships for the PhD programme in Plant Breeding at the West African Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) in Ghana is currently open.

As part of the „In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme“ DAAD offers scholarships for PhD studies. The programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and aims at university staff in the first line, without neglecting the public sector demand of academically trained personnel.

The target group for scholarships are postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa with a Master’s degree (with above average results) applying for a doctoral programme who want to pursue PhD courses.

It has been agreed upon that DAAD cooperates with West African Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) by offering up to 3 In-Country and 6 In-Region scholarships for PhD studies at WACCI for the intake 2021.

Deadline for applications at WACCI is 13 April 2020.
