The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is an organization that promotes the international exchange of students and scientists. It is, in fact, the world’s largest organization as concerns financing scientific mobility. As an association of German universities, DAAD represents 231 German universities and higher education institutions, with over 500 representatives in nearly 100 countries.

In Kenya, DAAD is represented by a Regional Office in Nairobi as well as a lecturer each at the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University. We invite you to visit our office during visiting hours (Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 12 noon). However, due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are only offering virtual visiting hours at the moment, as well as regular web seminars to inform you more about the DAAD.  We also consult Kenyan or East African lecturers and scientists on possible collaborations with university and research institutes in Germany.

If you would like to visit us virtually to speak to a DAAD representative, please visit https://www.daad.or.ke/en/online-seminar-schedule/ to book an appointment as well as to register for the upcoming Web Seminars.

We are looking forward to your virtual visit!
